The Resiliency Center located in Ambler, Pennsylvania, is hosting a Continuing Education course for treatment professionals and other interested parties to educate therapists on eating disorder clients' inability to recognize body cues. The term used for this is somatic dissociation. The belief is that some people are not able to identify their internal body cues, and this plays a role in the development and perpetuation of eating disorders.
