Eating Disorders and Pregnancy
(stock.xchng:syposinc)
I am 27 years old and I have struggled with eating disorders (compulsive overeating) since I was 11.
In my early teens I struggled with obesity. It got so out of control. Then I was diagnosed with hypothyroid and PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), which made my life difficult. I struggled a lot to lose weight. Over time I got into a healthy work out and eating schedule and felt great and my weight also came under control.
In my early twenties, I got married and my eating disorder again came back. I gained weight. My husband is more interested in children, but my obesity became a problem for pregnancy. I would work out 4-5 hours per day and I wouldn't eat over 900 calories per day. I took all sorts of kinds of pills not to gain weight and to help me lose weight.
I visited many doctors as every doctor told me first lose weight. Again I got into a healthy work out and eating schedule. I lost weight (25kgs) and immediately got pregnant. Now I am a mom. From that day i took an oath that i will never ever get back into bad eating habits or go back to the eating disorder.
Eat healthy stay fit. If you don't, it can have a serious impact on many areas of your life.
